The game is simple: it is composed of rounds and each day is a round.

The aim of this game is growing snails and cooking them to win contests and reputation and, succeed selling your gastropods to the finest reastaurants.

Make a good use of your starting capital because, in order to play, you MUST have a kitchen, a cold storage and a chef who will cook your snails.

The snails will grow in pens that can be found on the main map.
The comfort of the pen and the food quality will determine the taste of your snails.
Your chef's know-how, your kitchen and the used ingredients will have an impact on the final result of your production!

Each detail is important. Don't hesitate to read all the rules to become am unbeatable player of MondoCuisto...

Your farm contains the following items:

(1) Your pens: It is here that you will breed your snails. Click on the parcel to build or manage your pens and the snails inside.

(2) Your office: From here you will run your farm: hire a cook, sign up for a contest, ask the help of your banker, sell your snails and see the events that have occured in your farm.

3) Your kitchen: You will cook your snails here. Choose your kitchen carefully because a really good cook will never accept coming to work in a diner.

(4) Your cold storage: It is here that you will store your raw materials and end products. The food for snails will also be kept in your cold storage. The more efficient your cold storage, the longer the perishables are conserved without damage to quality.

(5) Your car: You can use it to go to town for shopping.

(6) Your garden: It is here that you can plant your lettuce, which is a very economic way of feeding your snails with quite good quality food.

(7) The neighbour's land: If you want to expand, you have a good chance that your neighbour wants to sell a part of his land! Be careful: the more famous and richer you become, the higher your neighbour's price will be!

There are no pens when you start the game and, your land will look like this:

By clicking on the shovel, you will choose your first construction from the list of available pens.

Make a good choice because the quantity and, at some extent, the quality of farmed snails will depend on this pen.

Well done, your first pen is built!

(1) A basket of lettuce: You will use it to feed your snails. If you want to have fine quality snails, a good and regular feeding is very important. Some farmers, not concerned with quality, will choose to feed their snails with industrial dry meals in order to increase the produced quantity at the expense of quality.

(2) An empty basket: You will use it to gather the grown-up snails.

(3) A tool box: You will use it for two tasks: first, to repair your pen if it goes bad, second, to dismantle and sell your pen (it must be empty) in order to build a better one.

(4) The pen door: You will use this door to empty your pen in case you want to sell the pen and build a new one. Caution: when you empty your pen, you lose all the snails dwelling there. Consider saving baby snails before emptying it so that you don't need to buy them. To do this, you need to click on the snails, if you have any in your pen. You can keep only one baby snail pack per pen.

(5) The pen:
Two possibilities:

• - If it is empty, you can put baby snails inside. Within a couple of days, depending on the type of snail and pen you've got, you will be able to gather your first snails!
• - If it contains snails already, you will be able to gather a pack of baby snails. You can gather only one pack of baby snails per day and per pen.

Remember:
You have to sell your pen in order to build a better one on the same piece of land.
You need to put baby snails inside and wait a while before you have snails inside your pen.
No food = no snails!

Welcome in your office:

Here you have several available options:

(1) The paper board: It is here that you can see the most important events that took place in your farm.

(2) The phone: You will use the phone to call the banker. The latter is always glad to make gifts in exchange of Mondoz.

3) The computer: Indispensable for consulting the market price for snails and make sale offers.

(4) The car keys: You will use them to go to town for shopping.

(5) The blue files: you can use these files to order or consult the audits in your farm.

(6) The yellow files: It is here that you can check your bank history - very important section to follow up your expences.

(7) The trophies: You can check the contests and their results here.

(8) Statistics table: This table gives you information about the competition. You will know who is the best seller of petits gros and who has won the most of contests etc.

(9) The newspaper: Check this newspaper to find cooks looking for a job. If you have already hired a cook, you can fire him or give him a bonus.

(10) Radio: Click on the radio to see the ad screen. The screen will allow you investing in campaigns to improve your reputation.

Remember:
Have your eye on the bank history to follow your finances.
Should you have any problem, don't hesitate to contact your banker who is always ready to help.

You don't have a kitchen when you start the game. What you have is an old room that nobody used for a long time.

You'll need to do some redecoration!

You will have to select the kitchen you want to build. Make a good choice because the chef you will be able to recruit will depend on this choice. That is to say, a big chef will never accept working for you if your kitchen doesn't meet his expectations!

Good work! Your kitchen is ready!

You will find the following items in this kitchen:

(1) The pans: A necessary evil to cook your snails.

(2) The toolbox: you will use it to repair and improve your kitchen.

(3) The fridge: It gives you access to your cold storage. You can see your foodstuff here.

Remember:
A beautiful kitchen will make your chef's recruitment much easier.

When you start the game you do not have a cold storage.

There is an old fridge in an empty room but, it isn't adequate for a good preservation of your raw materials!

Don't worry!

You can quickly build a new cold storage worthy of a top class farm.

You need to select the cold storage you want to build and click on 'I'm buying' - here you go!

Remember:
Choose your cold storage carefully so as to have as much place as possible and an optimum conservation level.
The longer the perishable food is kept, the more it spoils.
Your snails can be stocked by 100 dozens in your cold room.

You will do your shopping here. There are three available shops:

(1) Food for snails: lettuce and industrial dry meal.

(2) The cooking ingredients: butter, garlic and parsley.

(3) The baby snails: you need them to start farming!

When you start the game, your lettuce field looks rather like a weed-invaded field. Don't worry! If you want to produce your own lettuce, you will only have to fix a couple of things!

Select the lettuce field you want to build and, bear in mind that the more efficient your lettuce field, the better your lettuce crops!

Congratulations, your new lettuce field has been built!

Remember:
The lettuce field is an option. You can choose as well to feed your snails with lettuce from the shops, without being penalised.

When you start the game, your farm has 3 places for snail pens.

After having built your 3 pens, you have the possibility to buy additional parcels of land from your neighbour if you want to enlarge your farm.

To do this: click on your neighbour's parcel and watch the price he is asking.

Remember:
The more land you buy, the higher the selling price!

A salesman's key to success is selling his product!

If you want to sell, you need to contact the snail market from your office:

Choose the buyers you would like to contact on this screen.

If you cannot contact some of them, it is because you aren't famous enough and these particular buyers don't even care to take a look at your product.

When contacted, the buyer will show you a list with snails, from those you have produced, that he is interested in and, the price per dozen he is offering. If none of your snails appears, this means that he is not interested in your snails because their quality doesn't meet his expectations.

All you have to do is choosing the snails you want to buy and the job is done: you have sold your first snails!
The snails that you choose on top of the list will be sold first.

Remember:
Only the buyers who have heard of you will want to see your product.
A buyer will not buy your snails unless you supply the minimum quantity.
A buyer will not buy your snails unless you offer the quality that suits him.
A buyer will not buy more than the maximum number he is ready to order.

As you may have noticed, it is not very profitable to sell your snails to industrial groups. The palaces will pay much more to buy your snails.

You can do 2 things to augment your reputation:

An advertising campaign.
Participate in contests.

Whenever you win a contest or, you are among the first, your reputation will improve and, the greater your reputation, the better your chance of selling to reputed restaurants.
Remember that winning a contest may bring you in shells - up to 20,000 for the first place!

Choose the contest or contests in which you want to participate:

Petit gris
Gros gris
Gourmands d'Alsace
Bourgognes
General (all species)

Then choose the snails with which you want to sign up for this contest - in order to participate, you need to have at least A DOZEN of cooked snails of the respective species in your fridge - and validate. Now you are registered for your first contest!

The winner of this contest will be the participant who would have cooked the best snails.

Remember:
To register for a contest, you need to have a dozen of cooked snails in your fridge.
You can register for a contest from Tuesday 00h01 to Saturday 29h59 GMT +1 (Paris - Berlin - Rome).
You cannot register for a contest if you have put your account out of hibernation less than 3 days ago!

The general condition of your assets is of 100 percent upon delivery, which is the value indicating the wear level. Should you ever fail to pay the maintenance for your assets (due to lack of capital), they go down and become less productive. You can even see them breaking down in ruins and be destroyed!

Remember having an eye on your shells to ensure you can pay for the maintenance of your buildings. Otherwise, repairing them afterwards will cost much more expensive.

The payment for maintenance is made automatically as long as you have shells.

Remember:
Repairing your assets is much more expensive than paying regularly for their maintenance.

You have the option to put your farm in hibernation if you want to stop the game for a while.

The hibernation gives you the possibilty to be absent without losing anything from your farm.

However, in order to avoid any abuses, there is a delay of 3 full days between the moment when the hibernation is stopped and the moment when you can sign up for a contest.

Remember:
It is important to feed your snails before hibernation or else you risk not finding any of them when you come back!
You cannot participate in a contest within the 3 days after the end of hibernation.

If you want to breed the best snails, you must have a lot of factors in view.

An auditor who inspects your farm, snails and cook's work may help you by telling what you can improve.

You can order and consult an audit from your office.

Remember:
When recruiting, it is hard to thoroughly evaluate a candidate. An audit can be of great help if you want to be sure you have made a good choice

You are going to know everything!!

Two indispensable elements of your production chain will be the kitchen and your cook. Your cook will be able, due to his skills, to refine the taste of most common snails. But he can also spoil the best bourgognes... We don't need to point out how important the choice of a cook is! :-)

On this page you can recruit a chef. You will need to have a look at the list of chefs, with their level and required salary.

The salary is no doubt an indication of the chef's skills. But you can have also cases when some of them are not up to the required salary!

After having recruited a chef, you will be able to fire him or, give him a bonus.

Remember:
A chef who asks a big salary can turn out to be a big disappointment.
A chef happy with his work is unlikely to leave suddenly and without notice.

Your are offered 4 different ad campaigns, and namely:

Newspaper ad in a local newspaper: It is a small advertising campaign that will give you the possibility to become known among the local trades, but do not hope to reach the palaces with this kind of campaign.

Advertising spot on a local radio: This campaign, though more efficient than the precedent one, will neither allow to reach the heights of culinary hallmarks.

Poster campaign at national level: A very good quality/price ratio. By regularly doing these poster campaigns, you can be sure to draw the attention of the most reputed restaurants.

Advertising spot on TV channel: No more hesitation! Impose your image due to efficient ads! You will quickly become known and recognized by everybody!

Remember:
Clearly define your target - local campaigns won't be actually efficient if you are already known at national level...
The advertising campaigns help you become known and receive offers from the greatest restaurants. Nevertheless, they cannot grant you'll sell your snails if they are of bad quality!
